• A report emphasizing sustainable water management practices and increased private investment to achieve universal access to clean water by 2030 was released.

• The Election Commission of India (ECI) continued its efforts to ensure accessible voting for all citizens. They launched the "Saksham" app to facilitate easier voting for persons with disabilities.

• US President Joe Biden signed into law a long-awaited $1.2 trillion funding package passed by Congress, keeping federal agencies running through September and averting a damaging partial government shutdown.
