• India's first-ever report on Critical Minerals for India unveils. The report, prepared by the Ministry of Mines, identifies 35 critical minerals that are essential for the country's economic growth and national security.

• Dream11 now principal jersey sponsor of Indian cricket team. The online fantasy sports platform has signed a five-year deal with the BCCI worth ₹330 crore.

• Former Punjab deputy speaker Bir Devinder Singh passes away. Singh, who was 75, died of a heart attack. He was a two-time MLA and had served as deputy speaker of the Punjab Assembly from 2012 to 2017.

• Union Consumer Affairs Ministry has decided to issue norms against 'dark patterns' in misleading online advertisements. The norms will require online platforms to be more transparent about how they collect and use user data.

• The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast “normal” rainfall for the monsoon season this year. The IMD expects the monsoon to bring normal rainfall to most parts of the country, with a slight surplus in some areas.

The European Council has issued a set of conclusions on China, in which it calls for a balanced approach that combines cooperation with “de-risking”. The Council also expresses concern about China’s human rights record and its military expansion in the Indo-Pacific region.
