• Sri Lanka batter Lahiru Thirimanne has announced his retirement from international cricket after a 13-year career.

• Former Australia and New South Wales wicketkeeper Brian Taber has passed away at the age of 83. Taber, who played 16 Test matches for Australia between 1966 and 1970.
