• Naveen Patnaik of Odisha has become the second longest serving chief minister of a state in India with a tenure of 23 years and 139 days.

• Minister of Union Information and Broadcasting, Anurag Thakur introduced the Cinematograph Amendment Bill 2023 in Rajya Sabha which aims to tackle film piracy.

• Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) started issuing heat index for different parts of the country on 21st July on an experimental basis.

• England's Stuart Broad has become the second pace bowler to take 600 wickets in Test cricket. The 36 year cricketer reached the mark by removing Australia's Travis Head on day one of the fourth Ashes.
  इंग्लैंड के स्टुअर्ट ब्रॉड टेस्ट क्रिकेट में 600 विकेट लेने वाले दूसरे तेज गेंदबाज बन गये हैं. 36 वर्षीय क्रिकेटर चौथे एशेज के पहले दिन ऑस्ट्रेलिया के ट्रैविस हेड को हटाकर इस मुकाम पर पहुंचे।

• India and Japan have solidified their partnership by signing an agreement to jointly develop the semiconductor ecosystem.
  भारत और जापान ने संयुक्त रूप से सेमीकंडक्टर पारिस्थितिकी तंत्र विकसित करने के लिए एक समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर करके अपनी साझेदारी को मजबूत किया है।

• The external minister of India S. Jaishankar met his Myanmar counterpart Tha Swe to discuss the expeditions projects especially the India-Myanmar-Thailand trilateral highway.

• India has extended its UPI payments system to France, making it easier for Indian tourists to make payments in the country. The UPI system is a popular mobile payments system in India.
  भारत ने अपनी यूपीआई भुगतान प्रणाली को फ्रांस तक बढ़ा दिया है, जिससे भारतीय पर्यटकों के लिए देश में भुगतान करना आसान हो गया है। UPI प्रणाली भारत में एक लोकप्रिय मोबाइल भुगतान प्रणाली है।

• India and the United States have agreed to work together on multilateral development banks (MDBs), climate action, and inclusion. The two countries have also agreed to cooperate on the Indo-Pacific region.
  भारत और संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका बहुपक्षीय विकास बैंकों (एमडीबी), जलवायु कार्रवाई और समावेशन पर एक साथ काम करने पर सहमत हुए हैं। दोनों देश हिंद-प्रशांत क्षेत्र पर सहयोग करने पर भी सहमत हुए हैं।
