National Current Affairs

• In collaboration with the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB), the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh has announced the establishment of a state-of-the-art milk processing plant. With a projected cost of Rs 250 crore, this ambitious initiative aims to revolutionize milk production and processing in the region while enhancing its position in the dairy sector.
•  On June 20, construction began on the Virat Ramayan temple in Bihar's East Champaran district, which is poised to become the world's largest temple. The project, spearheaded by Acharya Kishor Kunal, Chairman of Shree Mahavir Asthan Nyas Samiti, is expected to surpass the size of the ongoing construction of the Ram Lala temple in Ayodhya.
•  On June 22, 2023, at Rashtrapati Bhavan, the President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, conferred the National Florence Nightingale Awards to nursing professionals for the years 2022 and 2023 during a ceremony.
•  On June 21, 2023, Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh inaugurated the Integrated Simulator Complex (ISC) named 'Dhruv' at the Southern Naval Command in Kochi.
•  Acharya N. Gopi, a well-known poet, literary critic, and recipient of the Sahitya Akademi Award, has been selected as the recipient of the Prof. Kothapalli Jayashankar Award.

International Current Affairs

• The Asia Cup 2023, a 50-over ODI tournament, is set to be held in Pakistan from 31 August to 17 September 2023. All matches will take place at international standard venues.
•  In a collaborative partnership, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Urban Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NULM) have joined hands to empower women and provide them with the necessary resources to make informed career choices in the field of entrepreneurship.
•  For the construction of a Unity Mall in Dimapur, the Central government has allocated ₹145 crore to Nagaland. The mall's purpose in Nagaland is to promote and exhibit the state's One District One Product (ODOP) offerings, emphasizing the distinct products and industries of the region.
•  On the occasion of the International Day of Yoga 2023, the Indian Embassy in the Sultanate of Oman has launched an innovative video titled 'Soulful Yoga, Serene Oman'.

•  Pakistan has banned the celebration of Holi and other Hindu festivals in educational institutions to protect the country's Islamic identity. The ban was imposed by the Higher Education Commission in Islamabad after a video of students celebrating Holi went viral on social media.
