  •        Shri Amit shah inaugurated the 12,000 sqm CREDAI Garden-People's Park, costing Rs 2.5 crore. It caters to the middle class, upper middle class, and underprivileged children. Shah praised CREDAI for creating an accessible and beautiful urban retreat.
  •        Karnataka's 'Anna Bhagya' scheme, providing 10 kg of rice to BPL cardholders, faces obstacles due to a rice shortage despite efforts to procure from neighboring states.
  •       Chennai's C.A. Bhavani Devi made history by securing India's first-ever medal at the Asian fencing championships in Wuxi, China. She defeated reigning world champion Misaki Emura from Japan with a score of 15-10 in the quarterfinals.
  •       The Karnataka Government introduced the Gruha Jyothi Scheme as part of its "Housing for All" initiative.   •       Estonia has become the first central European nation to legalize same-sex marriage, passing a law in its parliament with 55 votes in favor. While same-sex marriage is already legal in much of western Europe, many former communist central European countries have yet to legalize it. The law will take effect in 2024.
  •       The International Olympic Committee (IOC) awarded Dr. Tedros Ghebreyesus, Director-General of WHO, the Olympic Order for his efforts in making Tokyo 2020 Olympics possible during the Covid-19 pandemic.
