• The Karnataka government has launched a Rs 4 lakh insurance package for state gig workers, with Rs 2 lakh for life insurance and an additional Rs 2 lakh for accidental insurance.
  कर्नाटक सरकार ने राज्य के गिग श्रमिकों के लिए 4 लाख रुपये का बीमा पैकेज लॉन्च किया है, जिसमें जीवन बीमा के लिए 2 लाख रुपये और दुर्घटना बीमा के लिए अतिरिक्त 2 लाख रुपये शामिल हैं।

• Renowned ophthalmologist Brig Sanjay Kumar Mishra of Indian Army’s Research and Referral Hospital was conferred with the prestigious ”Dr AM Gokhale Award” in Pune. The award was conferred to him at the Retina Conclave at Pune.

• NATO is set to conduct its largest military exercise since the Cold War, "Steadfast Defender," involving 500-700 air missions, 50+ ships, and 41,000 troops.
  नाटो शीत युद्ध के बाद अपना सबसे बड़ा सैन्य अभ्यास "स्टीडफ़ास्ट डिफेंडर" आयोजित करने के लिए तैयार है, जिसमें 500-700 हवाई मिशन, 50+ जहाज और 41,000 सैनिक शामिल होंगे।

• China and Russia have held joint military drills in the Sea of Japan and the East China Sea. The drills come amid growing tensions between the United States and its allies in the region. The Chinese and Russian militaries have also been conducting joint exercises in the Arctic, which is seen as a sign of their growing cooperation in the region.

• The number of monkeypox cases continues to rise globally, with over 15,000 cases reported in over 70 countries. The World Health Organization has declared the outbreak a global health emergency. The WHO has also said that the outbreak is "unusual and concerning."

• Iran and the United States have resumed indirect nuclear talks in Qatar. The talks are aimed at reviving the 2015 nuclear deal, which was abandoned by the Trump administration in 2018. The Biden administration has said that it is willing to return to the deal if Iran comes back into compliance with its terms.
