• India finishes with record haul of 107 medals at Hangzhou Asian Games. India's best ever performance at the Asian Games, surpassing the previous best haul of 70 medals at the Jakarta 2018 Asian Games. India won 28 gold, 38 silver and 41 bronze medals.
  हन्ग्ज़्हौ एशियाई खेलों में भारत ने रिकॉर्ड 107 पदकों के साथ समापन किया। एशियाई खेलों में भारत का अब तक का सर्वश्रेष्ठ प्रदर्शन, जकार्ता 2018 एशियाई खेलों में 70 पदकों के पिछले सर्वश्रेष्ठ प्रदर्शन को पीछे छोड़ना। भारत ने 28 स्वर्ण, 38 रजत और 41 कांस्य पदक जीते।

• Reserve Bank of India to consider Open Market Operation (OMO) sale of government securities to manage liquidity. OMO is a market operation conducted by the central bank to buy or sell government securities in order to influence the money supply and interest rates.
  भारतीय रिज़र्व बैंक तरलता का प्रबंधन करने के लिए सरकारी प्रतिभूतियों की ओपन मार्केट ऑपरेशन (ओएमओ) बिक्री पर विचार करेगा। ओएमओ धन आपूर्ति और ब्याज दरों को प्रभावित करने के लिए सरकारी प्रतिभूतियों को खरीदने या बेचने के लिए केंद्रीय बैंक द्वारा संचालित एक बाजार संचालन है।

• ITBP on alert, conducting patrols along China border: Home Ministry. The Indian Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) is on alert and conducting regular patrols along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) with China. This comes in the wake of the recent border tensions between the two countries.

• Territorial Army inducts five Chinese language interpreters for border talks. The Territorial Army (TA) has inducted five Chinese language interpreters to facilitate border talks between India and China. The interpreters will be deployed in the Ladakh sector, where most of the border tensions have been taking place.

• Ganga-Ghagra basin canals pose a threat to dolphins: study. A recent study has found that the canals in the Ganga-Ghagra basin pose a serious threat to dolphins. The canals act as barriers to dolphin movement and also trap them in isolated pools, where they are more likely to be killed by fishermen or poachers.
  गंगा-घाघरा बेसिन नहरें डॉल्फ़िन के लिए ख़तरा: अध्ययन एक हालिया अध्ययन में पाया गया है कि गंगा-घाघरा बेसिन में नहरें डॉल्फ़िन के लिए गंभीर ख़तरा हैं। नहरें डॉल्फ़िन की आवाजाही में बाधा के रूप में कार्य करती हैं और उन्हें अलग-थलग तालाबों में भी फँसा देती हैं, जहाँ मछुआरों या शिकारियों द्वारा उनके मारे जाने की संभावना अधिक होती है।

• Solmaz Narges Mohammadi wins the 2023 Nobel Peace Prize. Mohammadi is an Iranian human rights activist who has been imprisoned multiple times for her work. She is known for her opposition to the death penalty and her advocacy for women's rights.
  सोलमाज़ नरगेस मोहम्मदी ने 2023 का नोबेल शांति पुरस्कार जीता। मोहम्मदी एक ईरानी मानवाधिकार कार्यकर्ता हैं जिन्हें उनके काम के लिए कई बार जेल भेजा गया है। वह मृत्युदंड के विरोध और महिलाओं के अधिकारों की वकालत के लिए जानी जाती हैं।

• Russia-Ukraine war continues, with no end in sight. The war has caused a humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, with millions of people displaced and thousands killed. The war has also had a significant impact on the global economy, causing energy prices to rise and disrupting supply chains.

• UK Prime Minister Liz Truss fires Chancellor Kwasi Kwarteng. Kwarteng was fired just 38 days into the job, after his economic policies caused a turmoil in the financial markets.

ब्रिटेन के प्रधानमंत्री लिज़ ट्रस ने चांसलर क्वासी क्वार्टेंग को बर्खास्त कर दिया। क्वार्टेंग को केवल 38 दिन बाद नौकरी से निकाल दिया गया था, क्योंकि उनकी आर्थिक नीतियों के कारण वित्तीय बाजारों में उथल-पुथल मच गई थी।

• China's economy slows to its worst pace in decades. China's economy grew at just 2.3% in the third quarter of 2023, its slowest pace since the early 1990s. The slowdown is due to a number of factors, including the COVID-19 pandemic, the property crisis, and the ongoing trade war with the United States.

• UN climate summit COP27 opens in Egypt. The summit is expected to focus on ways to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and help developing countries adapt to the effects of climate change.
