• Govt defers implementation of restrictions on imports of laptops, PCs and tablets to Nov 1. The government has deferred the implementation of restrictions on imports of laptops, personal computers (PCs) and tablets to November 1, 2023. The decision was taken to give businesses and consumers more time to adjust to the new rules.
  सरकार ने लैपटॉप, पीसी और टैबलेट के आयात पर प्रतिबंधों के कार्यान्वयन को 1 नवंबर तक के लिए टाल दिया है। सरकार ने लैपटॉप, पर्सनल कंप्यूटर (पीसी) और टैबलेट के आयात पर प्रतिबंधों के कार्यान्वयन को 1 नवंबर, 2023 तक के लिए टाल दिया है। व्यवसायों को छूट देने का निर्णय लिया गया था और उपभोक्ताओं को नए नियमों से तालमेल बिठाने के लिए अधिक समय मिलेगा।

• 98,911 entities recognised by Govt as startups. The government has recognised 98,911 entities as startups as of August 4, 2023. The Startup India initiative was launched in 2016 to promote entrepreneurship and innovation in the country.

The government has introduced an Ayush visa category for foreign nationals seeking medical treatment in India. The visa will allow foreign nationals to stay in India for up to 12 months for medical treatment.
  भारत सरकार ने भारत में चिकित्सा उपचार चाहने वाले विदेशी नागरिकों के लिए आयुष वीज़ा श्रेणी शुरू की है। सरकार ने भारत में चिकित्सा उपचार चाहने वाले विदेशी नागरिकों के लिए आयुष वीजा श्रेणी शुरू की है। वीजा विदेशी नागरिकों को चिकित्सा उपचार के लिए 12 महीने तक भारत में रहने की अनुमति देगा।

• SBI Posts Highest-Ever Quarterly Profit Of ₹ 16,884 Crore. State Bank of India (SBI) has posted its highest-ever quarterly profit of ₹ 16,884 crore for the quarter ended June 2023. The profit was driven by strong growth in net interest income and fee income.
  एसबीआई ने ₹16,884 करोड़ का अब तक का सबसे अधिक तिमाही मुनाफा कमाया। भारतीय स्टेट बैंक (एसबीआई) ने जून 2023 को समाप्त तिमाही के लिए ₹ 16,884 करोड़ का अपना अब तक का उच्चतम तिमाही लाभ दर्ज किया है। यह लाभ शुद्ध ब्याज आय और शुल्क आय में मजबूत वृद्धि से प्रेरित था।

• Axis Bank Partners with Kiwi to Bolster 'Credit on UPI' on RuPay Credit Cards. Axis Bank has partnered with Kiwi, a fintech company, to bolster its 'Credit on UPI' offering on RuPay credit cards. The partnership will allow Axis Bank cardholders to avail instant credit on UPI transactions.
  रुपे क्रेडिट कार्ड पर 'यूपीआई पर क्रेडिट' को बढ़ावा देने के लिए एक्सिस बैंक ने कीवी के साथ साझेदारी की। एक्सिस बैंक ने RuPay क्रेडिट कार्ड पर अपनी 'क्रेडिट ऑन यूपीआई' पेशकश को मजबूत करने के लिए फिनटेक कंपनी कीवी के साथ साझेदारी की है। साझेदारी एक्सिस बैंक कार्डधारकों को यूपीआई लेनदेन पर तत्काल क्रेडिट प्राप्त करने की अनुमति देगी।

• China's GDP Growth Slows to 0.4% in Q2 2023. China's GDP growth slowed to 0.4% in the second quarter of 2023, the lowest level since the first quarter of 2020. The slowdown was due to a number of factors, including the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the recent property market crisis.
