- India's first mRNA booster vaccine specifically targeting
Omicron has entered clinical trials. GEMCOVAC-OM, the first Omicron-specific
mRNA booster vaccine developed in India, is now undergoing clinical trials. The
vaccine is a result of collaboration between the Indian Institute of Science
(IISc) Bengaluru and the CSIR-National Institute of Immunology (NII). - Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the new campus
of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Palakkad on June 28. The inauguration
ceremony will mark the establishment of the new campus situated in Palakkad
district of Kerala. - Two individuals lost their lives due to lightning strikes in
Maharashtra on June 26. The incidents occurred in the districts of Nashik and
Jalgaon. - Heavy rainfall on June 26 caused waterlogging in various
parts of West Bengal. The districts most severely affected by the heavy rain
and subsequent waterlogging were Kolkata, Howrah, Hooghly, and Nadia. - The death toll from rain-related incidents in Tamil Nadu has

continues to rise, raising concerns within the World Health Organization. The
organization has described the outbreak as "unusual" and
